Main Hall Hire, St Mary's Centre N16
The Main Hall is located within the award winning St Mary's Centre, an architect designed community hub completed in 2020, tucked behind the iconic Victorian St Mary's Church in the heart of Stoke Newington.
This bright, spacious hall is suitable for a wide range of events including children's parties, community gatherings, workshops, conferences, rehearsals, fitness and wellbeing classes, performances, and private celebrations. The flexible open plan layout can be arranged to suit your event, with tables and chairs available for use.
Guests have access to free Wi-Fi, step-free access, accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, and a shared kitchen. The kitchen can also be hired exclusively, and you're welcome to use your own caterer when the kitchen is included in your booking. The front courtyard is also available to hire as an add on, until 8.30pm.
To respect our neighbours, bookings are available between 8:00am and 10:00pm.
Discounts are available for regular and long-term hirers.
Additional Charges may apply depending on your booking request:
- A fixed caretaker Fee of £30 may be added to weekend and evening bookings. Once you make the booking on Sharesy, we will reach out to you to let you know whether this is required.
- Duty Manager Fee: after clicking reserve on Sharesy, please select this add on for bookings with over 30 guests, any party bookings (excluding children's parties) or events with alcohol.
- Cleaning Fee: after clicking reserve on Sharesy, please select this add on for all events.
For filming and location use, please use the message venue button below the map, as additional charges may apply.
The final amount listed includes a 2% administration fee paid to Sharesy.

Venue policies
House rules
- Please do not arrive before your booked time
- Wait at the front entrance or gates, for a member of staff
- Hirers will be met at the entrance by a duty manager or caretaker, and will be given their phone number in case needed.
- Your booking times include setting up and clearing away.
- Vacate the Centre by your agreed finish time.
- Only use the rooms and facilities included in your booking.
- Respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a reasonable level.
- All guests must move inside by 8.30pm.
- No Smoking
- Please report any accidents
- damage or issues asap.
- Do not stick decorations on painted walls
- No bouncy castles
- No generators
- No food trucks
- No BBQ or open flames
- No parking on site
- Return tables and chairs to their original storage areas.
- Remove all rubbish and personal belongings.
- Do not leave any rubbish on site or on neighbouring property
- Wipe down tables and leave the kitchen clean if used.
- Leave the Centre in the same condition you found it.
- Close all windows and lock doors where applicable.
- Hirers are responsible for any damage caused during their booking.
- Additional cleaning or repair costs may be charged
- Hirers should give at least 7 days' notice to cancel a booking.
- Hirers must read and comply with the St Mary's Centre Safeguarding Policy.
Parking and loading
- There are no parking spaces on site
- There is on-street parking but some restrictions apply on weekdays and weekends
- There is a designated space for unloading on site
- Vehicles may drive up the path to the entrance for delivery only, not park, and must move if asked.

In the event of any damage to the space or any other part of the venue property, Sharesy reserves the right to make deductions from the payment method used.
We'll make sure to notify you in advance of making any deductions and will, whenever possible, provide you with photographic or other documentary evidence of the damage.
