The space was fine, however they kitchen was very dirty n untidy.

Affordable space, but place needs heating and renovation.

Good place for events

Good space for a small hire and the location was good.

I am a Chartered Accountant and a Business Consultant who has lived in the UK for over 62 years. I have had series of workshops, Seminars, Trainings and the empowerment of our Youths globally. Selby Centre seems good but the location for access by public transportation is extremely bad. The Centre is not manned with experienced staff other than the Night Duty officers. I found my Jamaican brother Dexter who helped me to set up room 1 for my event to be very efficient. God bless him. The lighting was poor and the bulb leading to our room 1 centre was burnt. It was dark. There was no internet connection as claimed. Selby Centre may be good for other activities- sports, weddings, birthday celebrations but definitely not for my Team of Networks' requirements. I have had events at Benny Grants Centre which cannot be compared at all with Selby Centre. I will not recommend Selby Centre to anyone except if Selby Centre is the last resort.

Everything was ok for Friday 7th March. Equipment was in place. On the Saturday 8th March, there was no organisation. Caretaker was not available, equipment was not in the meeting room as arranged. Eventually, everything got sorted out. However, the organisation would consider using this venue again in the future.

- there was foul odour - ⁠hall way was not clean - ⁠persons from the other event were returning items to storage cupboards which are access via the room. This was during setting up, meant we had to move equipment. Advice by staff we've to allow access as "they’re regulars".

The hall was big enough, neat and the staffs were very helpful with informations.

Overall a very good experience. Staff were informative and helpful with any queries I had. Venue good size for the number of people who attended our reception. Maybe needed more tables. But number we actually used was adequate. Issues with lift which hopefully Selby will address very soon.

The space was big but not nice or presentable. For the price you'd assume the walls and seilimgs would be well kept. Nonetheless security and reception were nice . It was quite distracting because we could hear the music from the event downstairs which disrupted our event but all in all it wasn't that bad. The size of the hall was very good
