Entire Venue - Photography, Music & DJ Studios in Wapping Hire, STU 22

STU 22 is a premium photography and music studio at 8-10 Sampson Street in Wapping, East London, five minutes' walk from Wapping Overground and ten from Shoreditch and Canary Wharf. Hiring the entire venue gives you all four spaces, so a production or event can move between rooms in a single day without a second booking.

The Entire Venue includes:

The Infinity Cove. A 16ft x 16ft seamless white cyclorama under 12ft ceilings, with a wall-to-floor curve and no corner for a shadow to catch on. Shoot under natural daylight or seal the room and light it yourself. A private changing room, vanity, steamer, rails and a client area sit beside the set.

The Blackout Studio. A 26ft x 19ft fully light-sealed room under 12ft ceilings, finished in matte black with a deep red feature wall. Kill the house lights and the only light on your subject is the light you brought. Haze-friendly, with power for a full rig and double-sided curtains to split set from backstage.

The Portal. An official Focusrite partner studio, fully acoustically treated and isolated from the rest of the building. The music room runs a Focusrite Scarlett 18i16, ADAM Audio A77H monitors, a Novation 61SL MkIII keyboard, a Novation Circuit Rhythm and a RODE NT-USB. The DJ room runs Denon DJ Prime decks and two SOUNDBOKS Gen 4 speakers, so you can monitor at performance volume without disturbing a neighbour. Atmospheric adjustable lighting and a large display make it camera-ready for podcasts, livestreams and music video. It also serves as our self-tape room, with a plain mid-grey backdrop. A 24-hour premises licence covers late-night and early-morning sessions.

The Interim and Kitchen, included free with any booking. Books, vinyl, warm tones and complimentary tea and coffee throughout your hire. It also shoots well as a second look when a brief needs something warmer than a cove or a blackout stage.

What every booking includes: power, cleaning, studio operations and a basic kit of Aputure continuous lighting, C-stands, grip, modifiers and extension leads. No equipment, cleaning or facility fees are added. A full kit upgrade, covering Aputure Spotlight, Nova P300, Godox and Lencarta units, Amaran tubes and a Leica Cine projector, is £200 per booking day.

Minimum hire is one hour. Open 08:00 to 22:00 seven days a week, with no curfew and overnight sessions on request. Two parking spaces are included. Rated 5.0 stars from 67+ Google reviews.
