Community Studio Hire, Drawing Room/Tannery Arts
Our Community Studio hosts our year-round programme of activities for children, families, schools and the wider community. As a charity, income generated from all hires will support our activities, including our Learning and Exhibition programmes.
This flexible, ‘messy’ space is perfect for workshops, parties, public events, meetings, away days, photoshoots and branded events.
Our integrated AV system features a ceiling-mounted projector, microphones, speakers. A sink and art materials are available – perfect for workshops.

Venue policies
House rules
- Please do not arrive before your booked time.
- Wait at the front entrance or gates, for a member of staff.
- All Community Studios hirers will be required to read and adhere to the below Tannery Arts | Drawing Room (TA | DR) policy, which can be downloaded from drawingroom.org.uk/hire. A member of staff will remain on site during the booking and will be available to help. The Community Studio is available for hire between 8am – 11pm. We reserve the right to decline a booking if we feel it is not suitable for our venue. The hire period includes set-up and tidying time, which must be solely managed by the hirer.
- No smoking.
- No loud music.
- No vaping.
- Alcohol must be approved by venue.
- Ask venue staff for bags and dispose of rubbish on site.
- Leave promptly after your event.
- Leave the space as you found it.
- Furniture will be set out as requested for the beginning of the hire. Furniture must be returned correctly to the store cupboard after use, under guidance of the Duty Manager. TA | DR will provide basic cleaning equipment (cloths, cleaning spray, hoover, dustpan-brush) for the hirer to clean up at the end of their hire.

- Any loading/unloading must be approved with Drawing Room Events team

Property damage
In the event of any damage to the space or any other part of the venue property, Sharesy reserves the right to make deductions from the payment method used.
We'll make sure to notify you in advance of making any deductions and will, whenever possible, provide you with photographic or other documentary evidence of the damage.
