A tradtional Victorian large and bright school hall with a polished wooden floor and 2 magnificent balconies. It can accommodate a variety of events such as sporting activities, training sessions, seminars, conferences, performances, recitals, and religious ceremonies. The hall can accommodate 200 people standing and 105 seated The space has access to a large outdoor area which is ideal for summer gathering and children's parties. Adult tables (round) and chairs are available and there is also access to kitchen facilities (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, sink, kettle, toaster, food pre area and kitchen equipment including cups, mugs and glasses).

Venue policies

House rules

  • Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start time
  • Wait in reception for a member of staff
  • The main reception area is on Crawford Road. The car park entrance is on Vlamar Road which is parallel to Crawford Road. The car park gate is fobbed. Bookers who are driving will be given the phone number of the premises officer the day before so they can contact him when they arrive and be let into the car park.
  • There won't be a member of staff on site during your booking. If you have any issues contact the venue contact provided
  • No smoking

  • No loud music in outside areas due to being a residential area
  • Bring your own bags and dispose of rubbish on site
  • Venue users must only use the designated areas shown and as agreed. The venue must be left as found, including furniture put back an all food and rubbish removed.
  • The building must be vacated by the finish time, including the car park. Any overstays will be charged at £50 for each half hour. Please confirm with the venue 48 hours before your event the equipment required and the number of people if not done at the time of booking.

The location and size of the hall were great and suited our needs well. However, we were disappointed with the manner in which the headteacher approached when collecting the keys. While the request to sweep and mop the hall was reasonable, the way this was communicated felt abrupt and lacked professionalism. A more courteous and respectful approach would have made the experience much more positive. Manners are free. Additionally, there were no bins provided at the venue, which meant taking rubbish with us after the event. Considering we paid £240 for the booking, this was an inconvenience and an unexpected responsibility that we feel should have been easily avoidable.

Brilliant indoor+outdoor space- perfect for our 6 year-old's birthday party. Having a few things to play with indoors and out was just perfect to keep the kids occupied before and after the main party activities. Really good value for such a feature-packed setup, and despite the slightly stern-sounding final-details email, the headteacher who was our contact on the day was actually just super kind and lovely.

I had a great experience hiring this hall for my baby’s first birthday. The booking process was smooth and straightforward, and the staff were helpful and responsive from start to finish. The space was clean, spacious, and exactly what I needed for setting up decorations, food, and a play area. Everything ran perfectly on the day, and my guests commented on how spacious the venue was. This hiring space was amazing. My son had an amazing 5th birthday party. It is very spacious, well organised and most importantly very safe. The communication with the staff was amazing. I cannot thank Crawford primary school enough. The head teacher is very lovely and very understanding. I do recommend this space, no issues what so ever.
