The Taylor-Bassett room is in the new community centre built in 2022, next to the beautiful Christ Church building consecrated in 1848. It is located in the heart of Islington at the north end of Highbury Fields.
The capacity is 75 standing, and 50 seated.
This room is spacious and can be divided into 2 separate rooms, with Highbury Fields views, suitable for all kinds of activities, especially parties, conferences or performances. This room also has underfloor heating which is especially suitable for yoga classes as well as kid's activity classes.
To respect our neighbours we operate between 07:00 to 21:30.
For weekend bookings, a minimum of 4 hours is required, while during the week, a minimum of 2 hours is necessary. Discounts available for long-term, regular bookers.
The Garden can be added to your booking for £15 per hour (May-September only). Please select this at check-out.
Weddings/Funerals cannot be booked via Sharesy due to the rites of the Church of England, legal requirements and connections.

No hirer is permitted to use the premises for worship except those both on the list of Churches designated pursuant to the Church of England (Ecumenical Relations) Measure 1988 and approved by the Vicar of Christ Church Highbury.
The final amount listed includes a £2 administration fee paid to Sharesy.

Wonderful venue, bright and great location right in the park. Unfortunately the fridge had been removed due to a fault before our event and we weren’t informed. For the cost of a weekend minimum hire, the glassware etc could do also do with a bit of an upgrade. If you had full capacity there would not be enough and it’s quite an eclectic assortment! Overall would still recommend.
Lovely space. Perfect for my 4yo’s birthday party. Easy to find the key box and bins etc.
The Taylor-Bassett room is a beautiful space which worked perfectly for our son's 7th birthday party. It was easy to find all the things we needed (tables/ chairs/ wetroom space), It was easy to access on the day and the communication was clear throughout. We'd highly recommend the venue!
This is a great space...it has a calm feel to it and is cosy but also spacious! The kitchen is well stocked and the toilets clean. Perfect! Thank you so much!
The room was clean and warm. Plenty of tables and chairs available and good lighting.
I love the venue and location. Unfortunately the door was locked from the inside so I couldn't enter. Someone was able to let me in eventually and I just made it in time for my event - one guest had arrived. So it wasnt ideal. During the session, there was also a cleaner in the room above on a wooden floor, so that was very noisy as they worked and moved chairs around etc. I think its a great place, but these things need to be improved.
