Charity fundraising tips

With AmazonSmile shutting down, we wanted to think of simple and easy ways to still support our chosen charities. Here are three great ways to continuing to support your favourite charities.

1. Crowdfunding – Use a crowdfunding platform like GoFundMe to raise money for your favourite charity.

Crowdfunding is a great way to raise money for a cause or charity you care about. Create a compelling page on a platform like GoFundMe, then share the link on social media and with your contacts. Ask people to share the link with their own networks, track donations, and thank each donor for their contribution. With effort and dedication, you can make a real difference in people’s lives.

2. Corporate Matching Gifts – Check if your employers offer matching gift programs to double the impact of your donations.

Corporate matching gifts are a great way for donors to increase the impact of their donations. Employers may offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple the original donation. To take advantage of these programs, donors should contact their employer's Human Resources or Community Relations department to find out if their company offers a matching gift program and what the requirements are. Once approved, the employer will issue a check directly to the nonprofit organisation in the amount of the match.

3. Easy fundraising

Easy fundraising is an effective and convenient way to raise money for a cause. It involves setting up an online donation page where people can donate quickly and easily. Organisations often offer matching funds for donations, which helps to generate more money for the charity. Easy fundraising also allows charities to reach a wider audience and spread awareness about their cause.

No matter what methods you choose, it’s important to remember that every contribution makes a difference. So keep supporting your favourite charities and making an impact in the lives of those in need!
