Clarify deposits, shortfalls and the final bill
A venue may ask for a deposit or card guarantee even when there is no room-hire charge. Find out when payment is due, how spend is tracked during the event and what happens if the group finishes below the agreed minimum. Ask whether any shortfall becomes a charge, can be used for unopened drinks or food to take away, or is handled another way.
